The Fisher House Foundation, a family foundation which has generously facilitated 16 similar Fisher Houses in the United States, will provide help, advice, and up to half of the four to six million dollars needed. Our West Los Angeles Fisher House will appropriately benefit American service personnel, veterans, and their families.
Although residents will be responsible for basic housekeeping, the West Los Angeles Health Center has volunteered housekeeping, simple breakfast supplies, linens, laundry detergents, utilities, management, and maintenance. U.S. service personnel and veterans derive valuable benefits from institutions like West Los Angeles Fisher House such as:
• Families get to stay with the patient during the treatment period.
• They get to interact with other families staying in the facility and develop a support group.
• Lastly, no cost to qualified patients and their families.
The West Los Angeles Fisher House will be built inside the West Los Angeles Health Center campus.
